Registration for the upcoming Mutual Loss Prevention and Adjusting Seminar is now open! This in-person event will be a one-and-a-half-day seminar March 2-3 at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

We have a lineup that offers a range of topics and is guaranteed to be of interest and value to you and your organization. The target audience for this event includes managers, adjusters, inspectors, agents and underwriters.

New this year will be our vendor showcase. On March 2, vendor sponsors of the MLPA event will be on hand to share information and answer any questions you may have. There also will be ample time for networking at this event.

Back by popular demand will be a prize giveaway in the closing session.

FEATURED SPEAKERS
Before starting at AMEX Assurance in De Pere, Wisconsin, in January 2001, Crystal Aguirre didn’t really know much about auto insurance, other than you had to have it. That first job launched her career, which also has included positions at SECURA Insurance and AIG Insurance. She now works for Ellington Mutual in Hortonville, Wisconsin.
Gary Hong is a professional electrical engineer and has been involved in forensic engineering since 1999. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana and Nebraska. Gary has a diverse amount of forensic experience including electrical fire/explosion investigation, product failure analysis, interpreting electrical code issues, product testing, vehicles, HVAC, consumer electronics and investigations of residential and commercial wiring. Gary also has taught an advanced forensic electrical investigations class for the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s office.
Mike Lindau has been a Claims Representative for the past five years for United Mutual Insurance Company in Medford, Wisconsin. He enjoys working in the field, helping customers with their claims and performing pre-loss property inspections. Prior to working for United Mutual, Mike worked in church administration and spent three years as a property and casualty insurance agent.
Matthew McLean is a partner with the law firm of Thompson Brody & Kaplan. He focuses his practice on large loss property subrogation and the representation of Mutual insurance companies across the United States. Over the past decade, Matthew has been a speaker at WAMIC, IAMIC and MAMIC, as well as the NASP annual conference. Matthew has presented on topics ranging from best practices for subrogation investigations to the ethical use of social media in loss investigations.
Joseph Riddle is a senior consultant with ESi. He specializes in the investigation, evaluation and repair of distressed structures. He has performed numerous structural condition and damage assessments for a variety of structure types including residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Joseph also has extensive experience designing structural repairs or retrofits for the structures that he has inspected. Joseph is a member of ASTM International, the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Structural Engineering Institute (SEI).
Sean Sarver is the Assistant Vice President of Claims for Mutual of Wausau and Homestead Mutual Insurance. Sean has an extensive claims background as a Property Claims Manager and a Casualty Claims Supervisor. He spent the first 15 years of his career working at Church Mutual in various roles within the claim department before accepting a position with Hastings Mutual in 2018. At Hastings, Sean was in charge of the property claims daily operations as Claims Manager and was responsible for all six states of their operating territory.
Patryk Silver is an attorney and shareholder in the Property Insurance Group at Borgelt, Powell, Peterson & Frauen. For more than 20 years, he has represented insurance companies in Wisconsin in both state and federal courts in complex insurance coverage matters. Patryk is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and Wisconsin Defense Council and is admitted to practice in Wisconsin’s Western District Court, Eastern District Court and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Debbie Wagner has been with e2Value since February 2004. As Executive Vice President of Sales, she is responsible for all new business development and service. Debbie has over 30 years of experience in the property insurance industry. She currently serves on the NAMIC Merit Society Board of Directors and NAMIC’s Farm Mutual Forum Committee. She received her PFMM in 2019, served on the NAMIC Personal Lines Planning Committee for four years and was the chairperson during the 2014 NAMIC Conference.
