About WRC

Wisconsin Reinsurance Corporation (WRC) was formed on November 3, 1931 by 10 town mutual insurance companies from Wisconsin to meet their reinsurance needs in the state of Wisconsin. Since then, WRC has expanded its business into the states of Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, South Dakota and Illinois. WRC is the parent company of The WRC Group. It provides reinsurance programs specially designed for each client company.

WRC is owned by the clients it reinsures. This client/owner relationship forms the foundation of a long-term, stable partnership. The board of directors of WRC is comprised of nine men and women who are full-time managers of reinsured companies. This provides WRC with the guidance and direction to focus on the needs of the companies that we serve.

Contributing to the mutual industry has always been a priority for WRC. Our staff participates in national and state trade association activities and seminars. WRC also offers many educational programs throughout each year. WRC is proud of our experienced and knowledgeable staff, many of whom have received recognition for educational achievements and industry contribution.
