Fall 2021 Issue

Congratulations to Terry Wendorff on his upcoming retirement! Terry has served as President & CEO of WRC for 21 years and will retire on December 30, 2021.

Terry began his distinguished career in mutual insurance 51 years ago. His first position was a Farm Mutual Manager and Agent in Minnesota. He then joined the Reinsurance Association of Minnesota (now known as RAM Mutual), where he served as Corporate Secretary and President. After working as a reinsurance broker for Sedgwick for several years, he took the helm at Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa as Vice President of Reinsurance.

For the past 21 years, Terry has led Wisconsin Reinsurance Corporation and 1st Auto & Casualty as President and CEO. During his highly successful tenure, WRC has expanded from serving two states to being licensed in seven states. WRC’s share value has grown by over 250% and 1st Auto’s written premium has more than doubled under Terry’s leadership.

He earned a CPCU designation and has served on numerous state and national trade association committees.

We thank Terry for his leadership, expertise and valuable contributions to WRC. We will be honoring Terry’s distinguished career through the rest of the year and invite you to do so as well.

WRC’s Executive Vice President Jason Fogg, who joined WRC in 2017, will begin his role as President & CEO on December 31, 2021.

Please join us in congratulating Terry on his retirement.
