Footnotes from the Field: Reedsburg-Westfield Celebrates 145 years
Reedsburg-Westfield Mutual Insurance Company in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, recently celebrated its 145th anniversary with a picnic. The event featured ice cream to celebrate June Dairy Month and honor the farmers who make up a major part of the company’s business.
Reedsburg-Westfield started as Reedsburg Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company (established in 1876) and Westfield Mutual Farmers Insurance Company (also established in 1876). The two companies merged in 1981.
