Footnotes from the Field: Paul Named to Iowa Insurance Hall of Fame
Congratulations to recently retired Western Iowa Mutual Manager John Paul on his induction into the Iowa Insurance Hall of Fame. He has been with Western Iowa Mutual in Council Bluffs, Iowa, since 1986, and has served as a claims adjuster, inspector, underwriter, president and treasurer.
John also has been extensively involved with the Mutual Insurance Association of Iowa. He served as director, president, legislative committee member and the state convention chaplain. He also was president of the Southwest Iowa Mutual Managers Association.
At a national level, John was on the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies board of directors from 2000-03, was chairman of the NAMIC Political Action Committee and currently serves on the NAMIC Group Insurance Trust. His national awards include the Merit Award in 2000, the Service Award in 2004, the Professional Farm Mutual Manager of the Year in 2014 and the Chairman’s Award in 2015.
John and his wife, Cathy, have been married for over 45 years and have three adult children and five grandchildren.
