OCI Files Petition for Order of Liquidation

The Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) filed the Petition for Order for Liquidation with the Dane County (WI) Circuit Court on November 1 to place Wisconsin Reinsurance Corporation and 1st Auto & Casualty Insurance Company into liquidation status. The order has a 35-day objection period with a planned effective date of January 1, 2024. The Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) has filed a Petition for Rehabilitation with Dane County (WI) Circuit Court to place Wisconsin Reinsurance Corporation and 1st Auto & Casualty Insurance Company into rehabilitation status. Introducing the New Leader of 1st Auto

We’re pleased to introduce you to Ellie Walsh, who has been named Senior Vice President of Insurance and will lead 1st Auto.

Ellie joins 1st Auto after 20 years at American Family Insurance. Her most recent position was Claims Data and Analytics Director. She also held roles in claims, personal and commercial lines underwriting, and product management.

“I am excited to join The WRC Group and specifically 1st Auto,” says Ellie. “I look forward to applying my management and data analytics experience and working with the 1st Auto team to enhance our products and operations.”

She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Business Administration degree from Edgewood College. She also earned a Master’s Certificate in Project Management and a Digital Leader Certification from UW-Madison.

Ellie, her husband and son live in the Madison, Wisconsin, area. Please join us in welcoming Ellie to 1st Auto!
