Wisconsin Reinsurance Corporation (WRC) has traditionally held our Annual Shareholders’ Meeting in late April each year on a date determined by the board of directors.

This year the WRC board of directors has decided that an April meeting would not be appropriate given the concerns about COVID-19, Wisconsin’s restrictions on gatherings and non-essential travel, and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Wisconsin’s Office of the Commissioner of Insurance issued a bulletin on March 15, 2020 encouraging insurers to reschedule annual shareholder meetings to comply with these recommendations.

WRC’s bylaws state, in Section 2.1, that the annual meeting is to be held on a date, time and place as determined by the board of directors. The WRC board of directors will be meeting to determine when it will be appropriate to safely hold this meeting. Once the date, time and place have been determined, you will receive a notice with the details.

Please note that the current directors of WRC with terms that expire at the annual meeting will continue to serve as directors until the annual meeting is held.
