Cargo coverage protects damage or loss of goods while being transported by air, sea, or land. Covered cargo could include grain hauled by a farmer for others, or a trucker transporting goods from the warehouse to the store. What is covered, and how it is covered, can vary per carrier and policy.
A covered claim may result in one of the following loss types:
- Sinking or Wreck
- Malicious Damage
- Overboard losses or water infiltration of the product
- Riots or Terrorism
- Packing deficiencies
- Transporter Insolvency
Be sure to read the policy carefully to understand all coverages, limitations, and exclusions.
