Account Manager – Commercial Lines Emphasis

Reports to:  Vice President, WRC Agency

Exempt (not subject to overtime)

Educational Requirements: 

  • Wisconsin Property & Casualty Agent license
  • Minimum 2 years of personal and commercial lines experience
  • High school diploma

Lifting Requirements: 

  • Minimal

Responsibilities (Primary/Secondary/Other):  

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Work closely with agents and clients in placing commercial line accounts
  • Service existing commercial lines accounts
  • Receive, research and answer customer and agent inquiries and requests regarding accounts, products, rates and services offered
  • Issue or order Certificates of Insurance
  • Remain current on changes in underwriting rules, procedures, policies and products offered
  • Provide a minimum of one article for each quarterly newsletter for agents
  • Meet with clients as needed and attend company functions
  • Provide excellent phone and direct contract service to clients, agents and prospects

 SECONDARY DUTIES:

  • Quote, service and sell new and existing personal lines business
  • Maintain daily suspense activities and document all interaction between clients, agents, staff and self
  • Follow up on expired policies and proposals not accepted in a timely manner
  • Forward policy documentation to agents/clients as necessary
  • Update agency documentation as needed
  • Assist in making sure website and processing documentation is accurate

Other duties as assigned by Vice President, WRC Agency

Computer programs required for this position:

  • Microsoft Office
  • Applied Epic experience is a plus

Other experience required of candidates:

  • Strong phone and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and on a team

Possible option to work remotely from:  Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa or Missouri.
