About 1st Auto

1st Auto is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wisconsin Reinsurance Corporation and was formed on September 12, 1991. 1st Auto was created to provide the mutual industry an outlet for personal auto insurance for their policyholder members. 1st Auto has grown to provide other lines of business which include: farm truck, commercial auto, umbrella, and farm/personal liability.

Our mission is to be the company which, when called on by our current and prospective policyholders and agents, has the friendliest attitude, the best answers, the fastest service, and the understanding that it is ultimately the policyholder who we serve.

Our purpose is to provide insurance products and related services to people throughout the states of Wisconsin, South Dakota, Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri and Illinois.

We provide discounts to individuals who are farming or living in smaller cities, towns, or villages. When policyholders are affiliated with a local mutual company, additional discounts are available with 1st Auto.

We do all of our business through insurance agents who are located in communities we serve. These agents place business with our company and make sure that the needs of policyholders are met.

Our staff has many years of experience with underwriting and claims handling. We are proud of the outstanding customer service that we provide to our policyholders and our agents.
